Silverado Senior Living strives to provide the highest quality of care to those we serve, by implementing programs that are innovative in their use of resources and technology. Through this innovation we are able to make our services more personalized for the resident and more effective for our support staff.
Our communities recently began the Silverado Neighborhood program, which allows us to adapt our services and engagement opportunities to the individual needs of our residents. Our Social Neighborhood aims to provide more alert and physically capable residents engagement opportunities that focus on cognitive stimulation and communal outings. The Supportive neighborhood is geared toward residents in moderate-to-late stages of cognitive decline; this neighborhood has a greater concentration of medical care as well as engagement opportunities with additional sensory stimulation.
Some Silverado communities are piloting programs that allow families and physicians to stay in touch with our residents via video conferencing technologies, such as Skype. Similar video conferencing technologies are being utilized by our medical directors through the use of remote controlled robots that make “virtual rounds” of the community, providing our medical staff access to our residents at any time of day from various locations.
Silverado has also implemented technologies that seek to inform and educate the growing network of caregivers around the world. The Live Chat feature on the Silverado website allows anyone to log on and chat with a live, trained professionals who can provide resources and advice on senior care or caregiving needs, a feature that we believe is unique to our entire industry.
As our programs and technologies continue to evolve, we hope to raise the standard of care for those with memory impairing conditions and their families around the world.
