What a great post! It seems as though video game systems like the wii are a hit everywhere along the age-spectrum. I think it is amazing that Mr. Jacobs could hit the baseball on the Wii with the real-life baseball skills he had been developing all his life. I think these activities are great because it not only exercises the body and mind, but that it also allows people to become familiar with the technology and computers in general. This can be a huge confidence booster in a demographic which largely believes they will “never” be able to use computers. The variety of products available today help people accomplish their necessary tasks, but also make life more enjoyable!
